walking how far?

counting the days from the last entry,
17 days just whizzed by, like how time passed setting up the things at my new school these few days.

Yesterday was day 1 at Holland Drive officially after 2 months odd at Jurong West. leaving missing these children who gave me joy that comes with the anger&frustration that taught me as a teacher to manage their child-like nature.

watching very hard God moving in the midst though i'm blinded/distracted a lot from the physical fatigue, things on my mind to hold on that I have this fear of fading if I took it off too long.
just the lack of discipline to pen down my thoughts that I have with my Father
cos I realised the memory of mine is very temporary.
Was walking home monday night without a flat phone,
thinking back what I saw in the
Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader past friday.

Apart from 'WAH's & other sound effects that accompanied my seat in all movies so far:X

It struck me when they began the voyage, where they were forewarn of temptations, portrayed in smoky green things that slowly seek to engulf you, buzzing around you.
I was like, don't you just want these things to just not appear in the first place and all the struggle to stay strong need not take place, but that's actually what we encounter in life walking the journey isn't it?
with perseverance & 'Aslan' revealing Himself to steer you back.

And when Aslan, dug the claws into the sand, roared at Eustace disintegrating the 'dragon scales' on the outside
reminded me of the time when Corney saw sharing from Isaiah 53:5 in his summary that
" by his stripes, impossible is nothing." from the 3 stripes in the sand.

which actually had the description of the moment Aslan ws brought to the stone to be killed by the ice queen in the 1st movie before he was resurrected.

the next part of thougts
revolved around relationships with people dear to me,

the significance/purpose of the trip to Cambodia, taking myself out of being like this
'I know what's it like to be there' mindset and clearly seeking what He's saying to me.
before it continued, prayer followed in& I reached the lift for an interruption.

My heart to quieten with my Maker
Blessed week my dear friends(:

High Seas!

The journey begins, we're all getting in, into the Word of God!

that's the 1st line of the song that will greet us at each session at Vacation bible School.
I thank God for allowing me to be part of the time spent there, tasked to shared about the life of Peter, Paul, all the people with 'p's in their names.
And also, spend the time with HIM each morning for my recharging before we busily get into the mode of things. Witness His movement when the group of believers gather to pray and intercede.
This will not last as a 'Spiritual high' only, but a reminder even as we con't to walk daily with Jesus(:

Let the Vast Voyage begin...

just browsing through my list of posts randomly, looked back at the one where I talked about attending the seminar at Scripture Union on organising Children's Camps on May 3rd 2010.

reminder to self for what is to be done at camp, not just 'talk' about it.

Have a blessed week my dear friends(:

The Crocodile Dock '09

"I don't need to worry cos My God is always here"

That's just one phrase in a song that the kids had to remind them to FEAR NOT! for GOD is here with us.

The last week I was part of a team conducting children's camp/Vacation Bible School[VBS]..
I am thankful for the 2 1/2 days that i manage to spend there...

I was blessed with a group of workers who were dedicated to ensure the children's time was well spent safely(:
the relationships between the children, crew leaders just connected everywhere through the activities they were doing, the sleeping in dorms sure added to the excitement with lots of them spending their 1st nights out without parents.
of course the guardian in each dorm ensured orderly especially my bunk with younger children. need to make sure they are woken up to use the toilet before continuing their sleep:
All of it would not have been possible without HIS providence(:

This year I was tasked with games, I asked God and reminded myself, " make sure the game reinforces the learning point for the session."

With that in mind, Ryan, Vernon & myself implemented the games.
It as been a previlage for me to have worked with these 2 individuals, they used their talents & abilities to serve our children.
With Ryan having to leave us cos of classes on Monday and Tuesday, after the 1st session,
vernon & myself went on with the rest of the sessions

I thank God for the synergy of suggestions&Vernon staying up with me to run through what we need to do for the following day.It was tiring but what's tiring when you see the children having fun Completing, Competing themselves in friendlies(guys versus girls always seem to motivate them to move faster:p)

Just going back, listening to Jordan my brother, cousins talking about camp camp camp, the bonding games the crew leaders play before sleeping, singing the songs, refreshing my mind with scenes of children & crew leaders interacting with one another, friendships forge leaves me 'WOW'

are we game for next year?:P
rest up 1st and we shall debrief to share in preparation for next year!

Its chalet@Safra this weekend, another time to spend with family
Have a wonderful week my friends & people who are going up to Church Camp(:

Great Bible Reef_Vaction Bible School (30thNov- 1st Dec)

Here we are at teh Great Bible Reef, with ym sisters and brothers and the new friends that i'll meet, where Jesus Loves all of us as we love each other it's a G-R-E-A-T...B-I-B-L-E..
Great Bible!(:
Joel the song master, so now it's games time, he's free to cover anywhere he needs to be, so he joined the children who were 9-10 years old, the caring crabs!my group for 1/2 a day!

Say cheese!

what do you call this game? it had something to do with trust, caring for others...Naty and Sean partnered with Joel my 2nd brother who was walking around...i enjoy taking the pictures..

So now we switch roles, blindfolded person is now the guide...so i just had to take this shot after role reversal, it's only fair and it's really fun when you do this comparison of the 2 pictures...

Helping one another..
These games really build people up, simple but good and meaningful...every child tries really hard to make sure his/her friend don't get hurt and also to make it to the end....

Spectacles galore!haha..Buy 1 get one free1
when the children are blindfolded, as you see, many children watch too much TV, play too much computer, gameboy, PSP, Nitendo DS, Xbox..you name it they have it!..well, i think girls is more of reading too many books and the TV...haha, these specs were the girls, not many guys wearing specs in this group..
well, the guys were after this picture, I think they can be more participative, everytime girls are in front, then these boys grow up not taking initiative in daily activities that actually need their initiative...I see the need, no wonder more males for teachers and mentors(:

more happy faces!(:
Cheese!
I love this picture....They go well together, haha..okok, shall not matchmake children at such a tender young age...but they are so comfortable with one another, good buddies!hao peng you,haha..
I have more pictures!that's in uncle Alan's camera to share, from a DSLR!cool That's one thing i want!not a need?heh
I really enjoyed myself at VBS, though i went there on the 2nd day which was the 1/2 day only, now i really know why children's lives are transformed. I could see children singing after songs sooo well, just 2 days(not to forget the worship on sundays)
The food was great, I would have put on weight if i was there for the 2 days..haha& Joel said we should stay over at church...I was like that will be cool!(wonder what my mum says about this?haha
Thank God for being able to see the wonderful work that the childrne's ministry is doing(:
VBS 2008 anyone? Hearing people asking about it already!(:
